NOT JUST A PRETTY FACE...

BIANCA JAGGER
Original Style Icon, Respected Political Human Rights Activist

"Americans need to understand the significance of having their civil liberties dismantled. It doesn't just affect terrorists and foreigners, it affects us ALL."  Bianca Jagger

Now this woman?... I NEED to raid her attic. The amount of designers that dressed Bianca Jagger in the 70's/ 80's are absolutely ridiculous. A favorite of YSL, she rocked the masculine, androgynous look in such a sexy, sophisticated manner that would make her the favorite of all who were blessed to be in her presence. Her swag was so potent; manifested in the way she walked, the way she unapologetically lived her life and was comfortable in her own skin.

Born in Nicaragua as Bianca Pérez-Mora Macias, she met Mick Jagger at a Rolling Stones' concert in 1970 in France, where she was attending the Paris Institute of Political Studies. They were a beautiful couple; passionate and driven... stylistically UNTOUCHABLE!
They were married in 1971 and divorced in 1979 due to Mick's adulterous relationship with Jerry Hall. Bianca explains it as her marriage being over on her wedding day.

"A man who gets divorced is not forever going to be talked about for it. There are very different standards that we have for women than we have for men.I find it disturbing that the media keeps referring to my marriage, since I got divorced in 1979. But the media never wants to let me forget."

YES!! She is beautiful. The first wife of Mick Jagger, The Socialite, the Studio 54 Queen, the party animal. But, Bianca Perez-Mora Macias Jagger is so much more...
What makes her admirable, inspirational even, is her heart; her devotion and dedication to battling injustice in the world.
In 1981, while stationed at a UN Refugee Camp in Honduras, she and her colleagues observed the march of approximately 40 refugees towards El Salvador by a death squad. She and those who accompanied her, followed them. Outfitted with only their cameras, Jagger and the group yelled out "you will have to kill us all". The heavily equipped men released the refugees and something has been brewing inside her ever since.

Today, Bianca Jagger is a respected and effective human rights activist, utilizing her notability as a platform to assist “the people” whenever necessary. She is a FIGHTER! Constantly speaking up for the voiceless. She is not afraid of her own shadow, but walks in her light proudly, defending her territory for the sake of justice.
She is not afraid to SPEAK UP or to be controversial.

I am still profoundly troubled by the war in Nicaragua. The United States launched a covert war against another nation in violation of international law, a war that was wrong and immoral.

MY KIND OF CHIC!!!
